Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is The Pilates University program accredited?

The Pilates University will be applying for accreditation through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) after completing our first full training term. Accreditation requires documented curriculum hours, assessments, and proof of program delivery, so while the first term is not yet officially accredited, the program is intentionally built to meet and exceed PMA standards.

2. Will my certification be recognized anywhere?

Yes. The curriculum follows the same classical Pilates principles and teaching standards used by major training programs — and in many ways provides more detailed teaching practice, cueing labs, and contemporary application than most popular schools.

Your certification will prepare you to teach in:

  • Pilates studios

  • Fitness centers

  • Boutique movement studios

  • Private session settings

  • Reformer-only studios

  • Group fitness environments

3. Do I have to complete both Mat and Reformer?

No. You can choose:

  • Mat only

  • Reformer only

  • Or complete both for a more comprehensive training path

Full-program applicants may receive priority placement, but all applicants are welcome.

4. When do the 2026 Terms take place?

Term One: February–July 2026 (weekends only)
Term Two (Intensive): September–December 2026

You may choose either schedule or participate in both.

5. How many hours is the entire program?

The Mat & Reformer programs together include 300 hours of training. This includes:

  • In-person instructional hours

  • Practice teaching

  • Observation

  • Personal practice

Hours meet standard requirements for professional Pilates education.

6. What is the cost of the program?

Two options are available:

Pay in full: $2,300
Pay-per-module: $550 per module (total $2,500)

A $300 non-refundable deposit reserves your spot.

7. What if I can’t make a training weekend?

Attendance at all training weekends is strongly encouraged.
However, if you need to miss one, makeup options include:

  • A private makeup session

  • Attending the module in Term Two

  • Additional practice teaching assignments

Makeup fees may apply depending on the method chosen.
